Far too large for a small car – seriously obstructs the driver's view
Unfortunately, the CarpodGo T4 is simply far too large for my Mercedes SLK, which has a relatively small and low windscreen.
The attached photo was taken from the driver's position and shows the problem very clearly. The T4 sits high above the dashboard and blocks a significant part of the forward view. In a compact sports car like the SLK, this is not just an aesthetic issue: it makes the installation unsuitable for safe everyday driving.
I bought the T4 expecting a practical CarPlay display that could be integrated into the dashboard without significantly affecting visibility. In reality, once installed, the screen is so large and sits so prominently in my line of sight that I am simply not prepared to drive the car with it fitted.
This is something potential buyers with sports cars, convertibles or any vehicle with a relatively small windscreen should seriously consider before ordering. Check the dimensions very carefully and imagine the screen sitting above your dashboard, not just the size of the screen itself.
I contacted CarpodGo requesting to return the product for a refund. Unfortunately, they pointed out that I was outside their 14-day return period, despite the product having only been delivered to me on September 10.
For my vehicle, the T4 is simply not a usable solution. The attached photograph says more than words can: it is much too intrusive in the driver's field of vision.
This is an excellent built device that works as intended, is fast and integrates fully with my car. I installed it in a Subaru Legacy 2017 and used the woofer cover to integrate it seemlessly.
The speaker of the T4 can be better though, the volume is a bit low.
I installed a T4 in a Honda Jazz hybrid it is perfect. Installation took 10 minutes.
Did travel more than 11 hours in on trip no problem. I recommend this product
Recently received it and drove with it for almost a week under Texas heat now. Drove highway+ local with it, did some sharp turns/U turns, the screen was very stable on my old Garmin gps dash mount. I like the size of this T4, fit my dashboard well, did not block the AC vent on top of dash (need every AC vent in Texas heat) and did not block my view when looking at road. And the Display only Bluetooth is a great feature, I can still use the steering wheel to control music which is super convenient. Overall, a high quality product makes driving more enjoyable.
I fitted one of the Carpodgo T3 pro units. It was awesome but had a bit of an issue with dropping connection with the phone . Their customer service was awesome . So after a couple of emails I got a full refund with no quibbles. So I noticed they had a new larger unit out .The T4 pro but what really made me buy it was the magnetic power connection. No more unplugging the screen every time I took it out of the car. I'll do a review later but I am really pleased with it so far . Brighter screen and seems quicker and the boot time is unreal. A lot more responsive and looks great .I didn't use the screen holder that was supplied but an existing one I got specifically for my car and just modded it a little and bingo..
Eingebaut in einen VW T5 von 2009, alles funktioniert perfeckt, nur die Bluetooth verbindung zu meienem alten Huawei P 30 geht nicht. Mit dem Xiaomi 12 T Pro läuft alles reibungslos. Schönes , helles Display und einfach zu bedienen. Ich würde das Carpodgo T4 wieder kaufen. 5 von 5 Sternen.
It's a great upgrade for my car. The display is clear and sharp.
Installing the rear camera was much easier than I expected. I only had to consult the owner's manual for instructions on how to change the taillights.
It would be nice if the night mode synchronized with the local sunset time. And it would be helpful if the adhesive were removable.
The T4 Plus’s arrived to Poland in 7 days and I’m really delighted to have such a great screen🙂It’s worth to spend few $ on it. The first thing is that I’ve received the T4 without the screen protector and I wonder is it normal or somebody has missed it before it went into the box. The second thing is that the manual says to use the OTG adapter to do the system firmware upgrade which is not attached so I’don’t know how will I do it. Taking the two facts I’ve mentioned I’m happy to have it and my BMW X3 F25 2010 as well.

Firstly id like to say that the product itself is great, the screen is very bright and once you PROPERLY install the mount and screen it is very stable, it can withstand incredible heat (middle east summer) and its overall just a smooth experience.
I would like to further say that the customer support is even better, when I first received my product I was super excited and waited months for it (I was waiting for T4 launch) and then I didnt install the product properly, and I ended up ruining the protective screen and getting really frustrated, but the support was amazing (patient and helpful) and made everything right.
The T4Plus is amazing! It connects quicker than the wireless Dongles in my other two cars. I bought it to use in a 2015 Honda Civic I bought for a little commuter vehicle and it was a fraction of the cost of what it was going to be for me to swap out the radio. It also allows me to still use all my steering wheel controls and everything. I highly recommend this product. Also, it took quite some time to ship to me but the customer service is top notch and they compensated me for my troubles. Also, they are very quick to respond. Less than 24 hours which is fine as I know they are in China and the time difference will delay response.
My T4 Plus just arrived a few days ago. The delivery took long (3 weeks), but absolutely worth it! Works perfectly fine, fast, nothing to complain.

I have a 2019 Nissan Frontier Pick-up. The Bluetooth really works basically only on the phone for talking hands free. The Visual on the Built-in dashboard is basically a "list screen" without visual motion. For maps, I'd have to connect my iPhone via USB and use the phone (or Cell capable iPad) to travel.
I purchased the CarPodGo T4 (not the Plus). Fits perfect on the sunken in dash. I used the short curve connector so the it sits securely on the dash. The cool part is that when you park in public, you can detach it as it has a magnetic backing.
I connect my USB-C to my phone only for the sake of seeing the music on the Car screen, which I'm used to, and I can still see the Map wirelessly on the CarPodGo T4.
The Bluetooth pairing was simple. Can't get any easier right out of the box. There's no "on-off" switch, just start the truck, put your phone in Bluetooth mode, and BAM!!! all set. You may see "disconnected" but just read the instructions and don't panic!!! Everything was set up in less then 5 minutes.
There's no "delay" on the frames when I drive. The screen is almost identical to that of my 2021 Jeep Cherokee, which is a 5 inch CarPlay screen built-in.
The size of the screen doesn't block the view; that was the big thing I was worried about having too much on the dash to block the view--not even. The size is perfect!!!
SOUND: The sound comes out of the truck's built in system, basically, from the CarPlay when hooked up to my phone. Everything works perfect. The sound will shut off when the map gives directions..
This is EXACTLY what I was shopping for!!! I've been using an iPad for awhile, but that was too big.

2013 Honda CRV:
I spent a lot of time looking at a CarPlay solution for my car. Replacing the head unit was expensive and i would lose some functionality of the car. The T4+ has been phenomenal! I retain all the stock functions of my car and the CarPlay experience is great! The screen is perfectly responsive and the build quality is that of a flagship phone. I’m really happy with my purchase and highly recommend to anyone with an older car looking to add CarPlay!
It's basically the same experience as the T3 Pro with added brightness. The 1000 nits finally make this viewable under bright conditions and while wearing sunglasses on my convertible. The only downside is that the touch sensitivity is also sketchy at the edge of the screen just as it is with the T3.
I absolutely love this device—it’s truly the best CarPlay display out there! I’m really impressed with how fast it is; you can start your car, and within seconds, you’re already connected to CarPlay. The media control is even quicker than any other screen. On other screens, pressing the next button can take 2-3 seconds for the next media to play, but on the Carpodgo T4, it’s instant, with virtually no delay. Another thing I appreciate is the 60hz refresh rate. You really can’t appreciate how fast the 60hz refresh rate is until you have it, because videos on YouTube don’t actually show the real refresh rate. Also, the glass screen is incredibly smooth, almost like a smartphone’s screen. Overall, I highly recommend this product, and I’d be happy to continue using Carpodgo products forever.
My son wanted Apple CarPlay in his 2013 Subaru Legacy that only has an LCD screen audio unit.
I searched online for the best portable Apple CarPlay devices. According to reviews, Carpodgo was rated one of the best. I even watched a few YouTube videos from people who installed it in their cars. I placed my order through Carpodgo’s website, and it arrived within week.
Now my son uses it every day, and he is pleased with its functionality and performance.
In general it’s good with two observations
1- the 12v power adapter doesn’t fit completely in my Highlander cigarette lighter socket; there’s a gap and the adapter shakes.
2-sometimes there is no sound even though the mobile phone is connected and I need to restart the T4 plus screen
There was an issue with the screen. I contacted the CarPodGo team, and they immediately sent me a replacement and arranged for the defective one to be collected. Excellent service. The screen now works perfectly and is of high quality, especially thanks to its fast and responsive performance.
Großartiges Display, Android Auto funktioniert einwandfrei, zweckerfüllende Halterungen gehören zum Lieferumfang. Kein Vergleich zu den zahlreichen Billig-Geräten, die auf sämtlichen Plattformen gehandelt werden.
